What are the exact measurements of a ClassicBrick Faux Brick panel?
ClassicBrick Faux Brick panels measure 23 13/16” tall x 44 13/16” wide. Slight variations are natural.
Are there different thicknesses of ClassicBrick Faux Brick panels?
Yes. The ClassicBrick Faux Brick panels come in two different thicknesses: a ½” thick panel & a 1” thick panel. The thinner, ½” panel offers a less expensive panel option and a softer brick texture since the grout lines are not as deep as the 1” panel. The ½” panels install by butting together & a seamless look is achieved by running caulking along all horizontal & vertical seams. The thicker, 1” panels have overlapping bricks on the edges so less caulking is required, making them the easiest install option. ClassicBrick caulking is used to hide seams & screw heads in all installs.
What material are ClassicBrick panels made from?
ClassicBrick Faux Brick panels are made from high density polyurethane.
Are there thickness variations in ClassicBrick Faux Brick panels?
Yes, since the panels are polyurethane, they naturally will vary slightly in thickness, typically about 1/8” but sometimes more. This is due to the silicone molding process which is necessary with poly production, most often causing variation from the panel edges and the middle. ClassicBrick Faux Brick panels will typically have these variations in thickness and also in panel detail and corner formation (such as slightly rounded corners in some panels). These variations are typically not an issue as they mimic the same variations and inconsistencies found in real brick. But, if you have some joints where the thickness is causing too much of a difference between two adjacent panels, they can be buttered or furred out slightly with any backer.
What kind of screws/nails do you use to install ClassicBrick panels?
This depends on the surface that the ClassicBrick is being mounted to. Finishing nails are the most recommended, as they leave small entrance holes, and are very fast. Wood screws and drywall screws are also common. Screws must penetrate at least 1” to properly secure the product. If using screws, the screwheads get covered with ClassicBrick caulking.
